Ego Versus False Ego

One of my first paintings, from 2002 in High School.

Ego is a sense of self.

A false Ego, then is a false sense of self.

How many times does one have to say they are an artist before they are an artist?

Charles Manson once said "You can think pink elephants all day, but it ain't gonna make elephants pink!"

He was referring partially to the Law of Permanents.

So from all the Artists and Renaissance men out there who have poured their hearts and souls, not to mention their entire lives into developing the talents they have to show the world.

Nothing is more evil the one masquerading as a talented individual, molding an image of what they are not. It is only a matter of time before someone questions your masks and they fall to pieces. Without talent there is no image.

If your reading other peoples works, don't call your self a prophet.
If your tracing other peoples art, don't call your self an artist.
If you are stealing other peoples idea, don't call yourself a thinker.

It is all so simple, just be what you are, building yourself up on NOTHING will gain you nothing.

Plus everyone that took the time to build the talents will hate your guts.

Stop being fake, pull the mask off, and pull your face on.

It takes hours, days, weeks, years and a life time to develop these talents. To see people without them, who flog a false image takes away from the exposure true artists get, along with creating massive amounts of bullshit people must wade through to find the true diamonds.

My two newest paintings, just finished this month.
